How the trip works
The route
The direction where timing is everything.
Coming into Orange County, a delay costs you an hour of your evening. Going the other way it costs you the flight. Forty-five miles up the 405 is fifty minutes at ten on a Sunday and something else entirely at seven on a Thursday, and the only real defence is leaving earlier than feels necessary.
So the car arrives when you say, not when an algorithm guesses. The fare is settled before you travel, which means a slow run costs you nothing extra and your chauffeur has no reason to hurry. Book the return at the same time if you know it — a pickup at LAX takes your flight number and is tracked from the air.
How early should I be collected?
Newport Beach to LAX is around forty-five miles and roughly fifty minutes with clear roads — but this is the 405 at the wrong hour, so plan on considerably more than that in the morning or at Friday rush. Work back from what your airline asks for, add the traffic, and book that time. We drive to the time you set.
Is the fare the same as the inbound trip?
The distance is, so the fare is close. What differs is that an outbound trip carries no arrivals meet and greet, because there is no arrival — so a departure is usually a little less than the same run inbound. The exact number is shown before you pay either way.
What if my flight is cancelled after you collect me?
Call dispatch and we will work it out. Cancelling more than 24 hours before your pickup time is refunded in full — reply to your confirmation email or call with your reference; inside that window the fare is retained, which is why it is worth calling first.
Do you serve the rest of Orange County?
Yes — Irvine, Costa Mesa, Huntington Beach, Laguna Niguel, Dana Point and San Clemente among others. Enter the address you actually want and the form prices it.
